DID YOU SEE TODAY'S DOONESBURY? It's like Gary Trudeau and I are channeling for each other because the cartoonist and I both came up with the same laugh-out-loud observation about Barack Obama being selected as the winner of the Nobel Peace Prize, My column on the Monday after the Friday that the announcement was made began like this: "Let me get this straight. President Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize on the same day America bombed the moon."

Great minds think alike (and yes I'm sure he didn't steal my line because the lead time on syndicated comic strips is usually weeks in advance, even though Doonesbury is the closest to being a topical strip with shorter deadlines.)
